This petition is to bring to your attention a recent event that I believe is unfair and requires immediate action. It is the recent unfair dismissal by the NSW Department of Education of Principal, Chris Griffiths and Deputy Principal, Joumana Dennaoui of Punchbowl Boys High School.

Why have they been unfairly silenced as they are active citizens in the community and no one to date has heard from them? There has been NO EXPLANATION OR COMMENT as to WHY they were unfairly dismissed by the Department of Education and no clear evidence found.

Instead the media has unfairly defamed both of their characters and labelled the students of Punchbowl Boys High School as radicalists and criminals. By placing an ex-Principal of a Juvenile Justice Centre only exasperates the situation. There needs to be an inquiry into the NSW Department of Education's decision making process and a public statement made to explain the unfair dismissal.
