Spring break revelry in a Brooklyn park turned nasty when a group of seven teenagers viciously attacked a girl — twice, police said Wednesday.
Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn Heights was jam-packed Tuesday afternoon with spring breakers who had read about a roller-skating discount. As thousands of people crowded in, fights began to break out.
Jenaesia Simpson, 15, was singled out and punched by a girl she didn’t know, said her mother Genae Simpson. As she tried to find an exit, the group of girls spotted her again, and pounced.
They kicked and punched her, knocked her to the ground, and took her iPhone and MetroCard around 3:30 p.m., police said.
Police evacuated the park as the crowd grew disorderly. They’re still looking for the attackers.
Jenaesia was treated at Downstate Medical Center for a fractured nose and a gash down her cheek.
“I want these young ladies to know that people saw what you did and you will pay the price,” the victim’s mother said.
