Rules:
Playwright must be 12 years of age or younger at time of submission.
Play must be 100% ORIGINAL material, written by the submitting young playwright.
Play submission must be in PDF format, typed and double-spaced.
Play should be approximately ten to twelve minutes in performance length.
Play can be in any genre (drama, comedy, science fiction, etc)
Play should contain between 2 and 8 characters, written in dialogue format.
Submissions are due no later than 11:59 pm on March 1, 2020.
Playwright and parent/guardian grant permission for Carrollwood Players, Inc. to present play without royalty or compensation.
Approximately seven to ten short plays will be selected for performance by a cast of adult actors at Carrollwood Players Theatre on April 17, 18, and 19, 2020.
Each playwright of a play selected for presentation will receive 1 complimentary ticket to attend a performance.
Not all submitted plays will be selected.
Due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to personally acknowledge receipt of your submission.
Selected playwrights will be contacted by March 10, 2020. Playwrights whose work is not selected will not be contacted.
