We have good news: More and more research is pointing to the dynamic fluid exchange, metabolism and function of the brain. Here at the CST Alliance we are moving and adapting to keep up with the latest scientific developments relating to the craniosacral system and how the flow of craniosacral fluid (CSF) affects the body. In response to research confirming the importance of lymphatics and its effect on the craniosacral system, this month we are introducing our new class "Craniosacral-Lymphatic Integration."
Simply stated, lymphatic function is responsible for at least 50 percent of CSF return to the blood stream. As CSF makes metabolic fluid function in the brain, the lymphatic system creates metabolic fluid function in the body. It makes so much sense that if we want to increase the production of CSF, then we need to facilitate the re-absorption of old CSF. We are finding that this essential integrative dynamic is making positive health and recovery differences in the body and enhancing the overall effectiveness of our CST sessions.
As part of our commitment to move CST forward, CST Alliance faculty members -- myself included -- are studying and training in lymphatic manual techniques. We have developed a new three-day class that integrates basic lymphatic manual technique with basic craniosacral technique. We have been applying this integrative approach in clinic and we're finding amazingly positive results; so much so that we feel it should be the major theme for this year's CST Retreat in October and in mid-November we will present this topic as a three-day class. The "Craniosacral-Lymphatic Integration" Class (CLI) will be held November 17-19, 2017, Friday - Sunday in Rochester, New Hampshire. I will be teaching this class and pre-requisite training is Basic Elements of CST 2 BE2 or equivalent. Registration is $498 and 18 CEUs are provided. You can learn more or register at Craniosacral-Lymphatic Integration CLITo learn more about this topic, read my recent post: "Cranial Circle No. 40: The Craniosacral-Lymphatic Connection"As new science comes to the forefront and general awareness by the public increases -- if you haven't already done so -- now is a great time to incorporate CST into your practice. If you have had a class with us before and want to help spread the word about CST, you can refer a colleague to our training program and receive $50 off of your next class for each person who signs up. We are offering eight Basic Elements 1 BE1 classes this year -- refer a friend to one of these and you can save $50 off your registration if you decide to attend any of our classes, including the new Craniosacral-Lymphatic Integration class in November. We are so excited about this new class and the healing potential it can offer craniosacral therapy as a whole. Join us in November and help us move CST forward so as former CST Alliance faculty member Roy said "There will always be good in the world." |
