Teen Volunteer Application 2022
We are seeking a small number of volunteers this year to assist with some of our teen library events. Events will take inside the library in our auditorium.

Volunteers must be entering Grades 9-12 in Fall 2022 or high school graduates in the class of 2022.

As a volunteer, you might be expected to:
1. Help set up the event
2. Help clean up the event
3. Assist teens at the event
4. Be a "buddy" for a shy participant
5. Monitor the Zoom participants for a hybrid event
6. Take photos during the event
7. Cut things out for a future event.

Events mostly take place on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 2-5 pm.

It is important that you understand the following rules before signing up to volunteer:

1. Application must be filled out by the teen applicant.
2. It is important that you show up on time for your scheduled volunteer shifts and can stay until the end.
3. Volunteering can be boring at times and we ask that you find a way to stay engaged in the activity even if you are not currently working on an assigned task.
4. Masks are not required for participants at our events, but you are welcome to wear one if you choose to.
5. Depending on the number of applications I receive, I might not be able to accept everyone as I need fewer volunteers than I have in years past.
7. You are welcome to participate in any events that you have not signed up to volunteer at and can also earn prizes for reading/participating.
8. Attending the training session is mandatory.

No volunteers will be accepted after June 1.
