Today was my first day at Johnson & Johnson, a company with over 130 years of pioneering healthcare innovation and creating leaders through three simple principles: connect, shape, and grow. You might ask, so how did you practice these principles throughout your day? I connected with fellow interns (James Cox, Rachael Carrión, Anjali Bobba, Neal-Avery Gutierrez, Tristan Janowicz, SHRM-CP, Alithu C., Joycelyn F. ) and the E-HRLDP program members (Nick Vitale, Nicolette Polos, & Kandice Keelen, MS-HRM, SHRM-CP), learned the foundation of shaping my internship project to meet the program’s assessment expectations, and grew my understanding of how a world-class organization lives up to its credo and maintains a patient-first mindset. Special thanks to Sarah Ring, my internship manager, for establishing clear internship expectations, encouraging me to own my career, and helping me navigate a huge corporate campus. Looking forward to Day 2.
