The Comedy Works Bristol (located inside Georgine’s Restaurant, 1320 Newport Rd., Bristol, Pa) presents a great weekend of Comedy on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 8 PM. with Bob Marsdale headlining and Aaron Bell. There will be a special guest Comedian.
Bob Marsdale originally started a thriving DJ business doing Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthday Parties and Corporate events. From that experience he developed his personality and likability from introducing the “New Mr. & Mrs.” at the many Weddings while he played music and became the center of attention at many of these events.
Later on he would be on the FM dial at “KIX 101.5” as the DJ with Steve McKay hosting the weekly “Saturday Night Dance Party”.
Then 16 years ago he took the plunge and went up on stage for a “Comedy Open Mic” at Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia and has been playing Comedy Clubs and private parties as a Comedian all over the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York area ever since.
Bob knows it’s hard for a Comedian to warm up a crowd of strangers and make them really laugh. That’s where he draws from his experience as a DJ and makes them laugh about the little things in life when he takes the stage as a Comedian. By the time he finishes his set, he has a roomful of friends who know he’s just a funny nice guy. His Comedy points out the funny things that we see every day about our family, friends and just life in general.
He is known for his dead-on impressions, and observational humor about his family which consists of 2 boys and 2 girls.
More recently Bob was featured on the TV show "Right This Minute". Bob has also performed at the Tropicana in Atlantic City, Harrah's, Mohegan Sun and Parx Casino's to name a few.
Since 2017, Aaron Bell has been a regular in the Philadelphia Comedy scene and has performed all throughout the Tri- State Area and numerous stages around the country.
This is pretty remarkable considering Aaron had no sort of entertainment job before and never aspired to be a Comedian growing up. He just started listening to Comedy podcasts while hanging out with theater kids in college where he was told that he was a good writer.
The Comedian lifestyle appealed to him and after doing his student teaching in college he googled a local "Open Mic" and fell in love with Stand-up Comedy ever since.
Aaron is “Known for his dark, observational humor, and laid back style, Aaron's act focuses on his experiences navigating life in suburban Bucks County and as an adult living in Philadelphia.”
He’s performed at the Tax Free Comedy Festival in Delaware (2019), the Franklin Street Comedy Festival in North Carolina (2019), the Milwaukee Comedy Festival (2020), the Electric Comedy Festival in Utah (2021), the Portland Maine Comedy Festival (2022), the North Carolina Comedy Festival (2022), the Blue Whale Comedy Festival (2023), the Baltimore Comedy Festival (2023) and the Des Comedie Festival (2023).
Also on the show is a special guest Host and MC.
