PUBMED (13 Results Found)
.
Google Domain Limited Web Search (PUBMED) 119,000 results
.
Observation:
There is a great deal of belief that Google and
Google Scholar are inferior to PubMed
for search result quality and I am certain there
are searches in which PubMed may have
more on target results or a greater number of
results. In this search PubMed only found
13 sources, but Google, not Google Scholar,
with the SITE: PUBMED restriction or limit
claims to have found over 119,000 sources.
.
Google will never show more than 1,000 items
in a search result in their database and often
less than that. Nevertheless, the first 20 items
in the Google search result are on target
discussions, here are some of the titles.
.
Evidence for sugar addiction: Behavioral and
neurochemical effects of intermittent, excessive sugar intake
Food Addiction in the Light of DSM-5
Mood, food, and obesity
Back by Popular Demand:
A Narrative Review on the History of Food Addiction Research
Sugar and Fat Bingeing Have Notable Differences
in Addictive-like Behavior
A new insight into food addiction in childhood obesity
Reward Mechanisms in Obesity:
New Insights and Future Directions
Addiction to Highly Pleasurable Food
as a Cause of the Childhood Obesity Epidemic:
A Qualitative Internet Study
.
These are titles that seem worth pursuing on this topic.
Now there is a camp out there that is vocal about finding
fewer on target sources is better than the flood of content
Google floods the user with. Well, on the other hand, having
a more substantial grouping of choices may provide the searcher
with an even better selected group of sources than the few in
this case that PUBMED happened to have. Furthermore, PUBMED
does not indicate sources citing any of the 13 publications found.
.
In the first twenty hits on Google, notation was made in each of
the number of sources cited and this led in twenty sources to a
sum of 2,280 citing sources with three of the twenty sources in the
Google search result abstaining from being cited. Hence a qualified
search in Google leads a researched to 2,300 sources in the first
twenty hits while PUBMED found only 13 sources total. One could
continue looking at a great deal more content in the actual Google
search results as well.
.
Here are the links to results in a couple from a couple of other
databases for this search
