    I wanted a roller fairlead to replace the hawse one the winch came with to protect the synthetic rope from abrasion. I had the unit installed by the dealer, but I'm still not sure why I didn't get the option of upgrading to the roller at that time. Anyway, this unit is OEM and is very easy to install; took less than 10 minutes including finding the tools in my garage. Bolt holes line up perfectly. I did have to shim out the mounting nuts with a couple of washers because the bolts on the winch were 1/4" too long to use the cap nuts and the bolts can't be replaced without removing the winch.

    On a 2013 JKU with Mopar installed steel bumper and WARN 8000 winch( by dealer, this fairlead was a direct bolt on. I replaced the OEM hawse plate as the winch cable would surely wear faster sliding on the rough hawse. All four rollers were well centered and rolled sweet. I purchased the 2013 JKU used with only 4,800 miles on it and it was garage kept. The young Mom to be had triplets and the Jeep had to go.

    Measure bolt spacing many times. The spacing was a perfect match for my bumper. The fairlead comes with two sets of holes. The center most set is the one to use with proper strength fasteners.

    Much better to have the rollers versus just a static block, you'll save your cable from unnecessary damage when winching, especially from any sort of angle recovery. This is a quality fair-lead, not the garbage that many people end up buying for one fifth the cost.
