West Coast Human Rights Book Club, sponsored by Amnesty International Sacramento Group.. We will meet online every 3 months, third Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM.

The next book discussion will be on Thursday May 16, 2024 online.

We are reading the book, Until We are Free: My Fight for Human Rights in Iran, a memoir by Shirin Ebadi, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Until We are Free: My Fight for Human Rights in Iran, a memoir by Shirin Ebadi,

277 pages. Published in 2016.

Shirin Ebadi was the first Muslim woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. She has assisted and inspired millions with her work as a human rights lawyer in Iran and she revealed the toll it took on her family who, along with her, were subjected to years of intimidation by the government.
