Hello, and welcome to another action-packed Head of the Cam.

Detailed information can be found on the web site, http://www.chestertonrowingclub.org/head-of-the-cam, in particular I draw your attention to the marshalling instructions, also available directly as https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_AK8jsSNgnivsWwyWt5sKqW3wKMXTLQlCBfpEZSt4n4/. Please ensure you've read the "Covid-19 Precautions" section of the page..

As a reminder the race (not marshall, race) times are: div 1: 9:00; div 2: 10:40; div 3: 12:20; div 4: 14:00. Crews must be downstream of the finish at least 20 minutes before the division start time.

Numbers will be delivered by 07:30 on Saturday. In an effort to reduce waste and limit potential losses to the CRA, we're using up lots of leftover numbers from 2018 and 2019. Race numbers will therefore not match marshalling stations (or the division, in the case of some division one race numbers, sorry about that!). Please ensure your coxswain / steersperson knows your marshalling station (on the sticker on the back of your numbers). Our marshals will also provide assistance and instructions.

The top ten crews for divisions 1-3 should marshal upstream of the A14 bridge, bows facing downstream, with the tenth crew closest to the bridge and the first crew closest to First Post Corner. Those ten crews will row down, spin in tandem, and then be set off in order, followed by the rest of the division. For division four, everyone can marshal downstream of the A14 bridge, in order, bows facing upstream and ready to race.

First up, we have the draft entries. Do yourself and me a favour: check your entries are correct, and in the division agreed. Note: this is an entry list, not a race order (done).

Note that (current) categories are grouped by colour; anyone not coloured in... isn't in a category, yet. I'm open to brilliant suggestions as to how the grouping can be improved, as long as they agree with what I already think. CRA cats: I've invented CRA1 and CRA2, which very roughly correspond to IM1.5 and IM2.5, but not really. Colleges: we went with Mays rank as ever, because what else can we do? Categories are nominal minimum-3-boats. In this exceptional year I've made some 2-boat groups.

Timetable for updates: mid-Thursday: finalised entries (done: entries are now final, unless you beg very hard, or it is for some reason my fault). Late Thursday: draft draw (done). Early Friday: final draw (done). Saturday: race!

If you aren't boating from the obvious place, please make sure you've told me where to send them. If for some reason you don't get your numbers, don't panic, mail us, we'll sort it out.

Prizegiving is Virtual. We're still deciding what that means.

Note: http://www.headofthecam.org/ is back! Thanks Dr S. It's only a redirect to http://www.chestertonrowingclub.org/head-of-the-cam.

Pots: we'll be around (Queens') till about 4. DO NOT COME INSIDE OR UP THE STAIRS but we can give them out from the hard. Alternatively, we'll be around near old CRA on Sunday at 11; and failing that, we'll make arrangements. Nines: your M1 took all the pies pots.5108CantabsCRAMale8+1000:09:0000:09:00
