I have been teaching for 18 years and have loved every second of it! I have taught Kindergarten through 4th grade, but my heart is definitely in K-1 and where I plan to stay. If you're looking for more ideas than what's here on Tpt, please visit my blog First Grade Smiles.
I try my best to have a classroom filled with smiles, laughter, and learning!
I have served as a grade level coordinator for my district for 6 years, as well as the elementary social studies coordinator. My most prized honors have come from the thank you cards and notes I have received from parents and students over the years, as well as the kind words from my colleagues. Maybe those don't count as awards, but they definitely matter the most to me!
I am certified in Elementary Education PreK-6th grade, Special Education K-12 and Literacy Education Birth-6th grade.
Quote to live by: "A hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank...but the world may be a better place because I made a difference in the life of a child." -- Forest Witcraft
