Great multimeter, nice bluetooth feature. I use this meter to measure voltage and current over time while putting what ever I measure under load. I use my phone as a display connected by bluetooth, it also has an offline recording function. The pictures shows the spec and also the QR code to download the app for Android and Appple. Here is the link to the user manual. [...] I also has an oscilloscope from OWON and it is great.

Excellent value. This thing has tons of features for its price. The data logging part works great. This is the only data logger that I have seen that you can launch from your phone/tablet. Most data logging devices require being launched from a laptop (Lascar). Most of the bluetooth meters do not have an offline memory function, they require a device stay connected. With the Owon you cannot actually start datalogging without a mobile device. However, it does not require the device to continue logging. You come back to the meter when it is finished and download the data. You can also stop the logging at any time by holding the bluetooth button and the data generated so far will be safe. It generates a CSV file that is a little funky, but you can clean it up pretty easily with Excel. The Bluetooth connectivity works through all three levels of my house. Keep in mind Bluetooth reception will be affected by having or not having a phone case. I tried a few other meters with data logging and Bluetooth that were much more expensive, and this one seems to be actually working without flaws. I'm using it primarily for its data logging function; I already have six other meters for various tasks. Everything I've used it to take a reading has been accurate enough for me. It runs on AA batteries which is a huge plus for me because of the data logging. The manufacturer claims 170 hours on batteries so you can log for a week. I run rechargeables in it. The included thermocouple was susceptible to losing its reading if it was bumped or moved. However, it included a type-K adapter socket so it works fine with my array of type-K equipment. You won't find anything with this many features for less - I've spent hours searching. I compared this device to the Mooshimeter (purchased and returned), Testo 770-3 (still have - no offline feature), Fluke 289, 902FC, 375FC, Southwire 15190T, Uni-T 71D. I didn't purchase the latter 3 brands, but I have a Uni-T 61D and it works great for connected logging.
If it dies, which is always the problem with the cheap stuff, I'll update my review. The negative reviews usually seem to relate to unexpected short life, which a 10 percent or higher failure rate is probably expected at this price point - that's a risk you take unless you buy the extra Amazon warranty.

Nice multimeter. The BT connectivity is great, I like the ability to measure over time and download the data later. You don't need your phone connected the whole time. Just set up the session and it disconnects.

It is only 4 stars because of some minor issues with the BT connectivity:

    - once the recording session has started you need to disable and re-enable BT on the multimeter before your app will connect again. This should not be required.
    - the exported data file is not standard .csv and while Google Sheets will read it has empty lines and other artifacts. If you're going to write an Android app (or iOS) that exports .csv it should not be difficult to make it compatible with Excel/Sheets/OpenOffice etc.

The pouch is a nice addition but it's a bit of a struggle to pack the cords and meter in the same compartment. Maybe next time have your product designers take the whole thing out of the pouch , use it (ie. remove tie wraps from cords) and then put it back. Ask them to do this 50 times. See if they still like the design. A better option would have been a pouch where you keep the cords plugged in but there is a pocket for the small bits.

Still, for the money it's good.

I've used this for all types of electrical projects and diagnosing problems with my SUV, but oddly enough the most used function is the temperature feature which I can use over Bluetooth and watch the temp on the app on my phone (as seen in the screenshots), which I can even use to watch the graph (which works for all features, not just temperature).
The three problems I have with this thing:
    1) The app that you install needs to be installed from a third party site (not the app store), which is a little concerning as the security isn't guaranteed through 3rd party sources.
    2) The app requests some permissions that don't seem appropriate for a multimeter. It requests access to your storage (for storing the log/graph data, hopefully no more), Bluetooth, phone, contacts and your GPS location. When the phone/contacts/GPS permissions are disabled the app throws some TTS errors when opened up, though everything seems to run OK aside from those ambiguous errors. Those permissions, or the logic behind the app needing them, aren't listed anywhere on the site that I could find or anywhere in the manual. Very sketchy
    3) The temperature resolution, in that it doesn't see anything between whole number temperatures (so it sees 99 and 100, but not 99.5, like most thermocouples do). Even though the app appends a .0 at the end of each temperature. So that's a little misleading.

So if you want to use the app, make sure you disable the sketchy permissions it requests access to!

Update: Lowering my rating. I just got a new phone and installed the latest version of the software to connect via bluetooth - And now the app won't run unless I enable GPS and give the app access to my GPS and contacts list... On the old version I could disable those two and I would get an error, but everything worked ok. Now it just throws an alert and wont work (screenshot added).
What a sketchy app update... why would a multimeter need my contacts or GPS location?
