Consumers talking with consumers - establishing a consultative base to inform your work

Interest in Kitchen Table Discussions? Join HCQ Engagement Consultant - Specific Projects, Anne Curtis, and HCQ consumer network member, Dr Joan Carlini, for an empowering webinar about the success and impact of Kitchen Table Discussions hosted by Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF).

Anne successfully adapted the Kitchen Table Discussion methodology in 2018 to enable health services to reach into everyday communities to hear the voice of those who may not engage in more formal consultation in relation to their health care. She will be talking about some of the 25 health projects which have benefited from consumer-led consultation including one of her most recent projects, High Benefit Care at the End of Life, a state-wide consultation project for Queensland Health that involved 19 Kitchen Table Discussions.

Joan is a Kitchen Table Host and is highly regarded in user-experience in health research. She is the former founding Chair of the Gold Coast HHS Consumer Advisory Group (CAG), member of the GCHHS Board Research Committee, Clinical Trial Steering Committee, Menzies Health Institute Queensland Patient-Centered Health Services Associate Member, and co-chairs the Centre for Research Excellence in Wiser Wound Care Consumer Committee.
