Tell Twitter to suspend Marjorie Taylor Greene’s official account too!

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has been suspended from Twitter for a week after spreading vaccine misinformation, her 4th strike. She tweeted that the FDA should not approve the vaccine because it is not proven effective, one of many falsified comments.

Vaccines work-- they stop us from having to be hospitalized, they protect the people we care about. The emergence of new variants is possible because of the unvaccinated and they represent the majority of hospitalizations. 

Misinformation like what Greene spreads on her social platform is killing people.

We need all hands on deck if we are going to slow the spread of COVID-19. Leaders like Greene spouting conspiracy theories and lies about life-saving medicine means fuller hospitals, more deaths, more variants… Greene’s sharing of misinformation is a matter of public health.

We have seen what happened with disgraced ex-President Trump, twitter, and his following this past year. An attempted insurrection. People like Marjorie Taylor Green should not have unchecked access to hundreds of thousands of social media users.
