Every Thursday, community members from Mutual Aid LA and Los Angeles Community Fridges meet at St. James Park near USC with a large amount of produce donated from Food Forward. Volunteers can meet at the park to help organize/bag the produce, and/or pick up from the park to distribute to community fridges and/or even meet at the Food Forward site in Commerce to pick up the produce and bring to the park! Meetup times vary depending on which stage you are helping out with but generally go from 11:00-1:00. It's a fun way to meet and mingle with other LACF/Mutual Aid LA folks in the fresh air and sunshine while keeping the fridges stocked with fresh and healthy food!
