Dexters top surgery

My name is Dexter and I am a 18 year old transgender man.

All my life I have felt different and since coming to terms with my self and coming out as trans in the summer of 2019 I’ve never felt more myself.

my journey is not nearly finished and I will need help to do so

I have been on the waiting list for treatment through the NHS for years now and have heard nothing so last year I made the choice to go privately for my hormone treatment

with the help of family and my job I managed to pay for it

the next step is a lot harder for me though as surgery is upwards of £8000 and I cannot afford to pay for it all and neither can my family.

I need this surgery as it will extremely improve my quality of life and will allow me to feel more like my true self and finally be happy in the body I am in. but I cannot afford to wait the many years it will take to even be seen by the NHS, let alone how long it will take to get my surgery.
