Event Description:
Its been a long time since we have had in person events. As more things are starting to open up in LA County join us for this fun and relaxing hike in the mountains of the SGV. A TAP-LA & Ace Next Gen joint event.
 
-Echo Mountain Trail Head at 9 AM-11:30 AM
Meet at 3302 Lake Ave, Altadena, CA, 91001
Parking is free on residential streets around the trailhead. It’s a popular hike so you might have to park a few blocks away. If bringing your dog they must be leashed. Thanks!

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the TAP-LA/Ace Next Gen Echo Mountain Hike  hosted by the Taiwanese American Professionals - Los Angeles (“TAP-LA”) & Ace Next Gen, I hereby voluntarily agree to release, waive, and hold harmless TAP-LA/Ace Next Gen, and its officers, directors, members, volunteers, and agents from all liabilities, causes of action, claims and demands that arise from participating in this activity any resulting harm, injury, loss, or death that may occur to me, any other person, or property.

I understand that hiking may expose me to dangers and hazards, including but not limited to: falling and loose rocks, mudslides, inclement weather, wildfire, wild animals, exhaustion, falls, fractures, concussions, equipment failures, negligence of others, drowning, death, hazards associated with strenuous activity, unavailability of adequate medical care, exposure and emergencies related to heat or cold weather, personal injury including serious physical and/or mental trauma or death, exhaustion, dehydration, broken bones, concussion, torn appendages, dislocations, bruises, cuts, infections, and any other injuries that may result in physical contact with others.

I hereby expressly waive and release any and all claims against TAP-LA/Ace Next Gen and voluntarily and knowingly assume full responsibility for the above-mentioned risks and other risks not listed that are part this activity, and any harm, injury, or loss that may occur to me or my property while participating in this activity. I covenant not to make or bring any such claims against TAP-LA/Ace Next Gen, and forever release and discharge TAP-LA/Ace Next Gen from liability under such claims.

I understand that by participating in the ACTIVITIES, all Participants consent to photographs and video/audio recordings taken by the ORGANIZATION during this ACTIVITIES to be used in any or all TAP-LA/Ace Next Gen publications, websites, advertisements, and social media.

BY SIGNING, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND THAT I AM VOLUNTARILY GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE.

Covid Waiver
While participating in the ACTIVITIES, “social distancing” must be practiced and face coverings must be worn at all times possible to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19 during any in-person activities. TAP-LA/Ace Next Gen will implement specific preventative measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19.

In light of the ongoing spread of COVID-19, individuals who fall within any of the categories below should not engage in ACTIVITIES. By attending ACTIVITIES, you agree that you do not fall into any of the following categories:  

1. Individuals who currently or within the past 14 days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath
2. Individuals who have traveled at any point in the past 14 days either internationally or to a community in the U.S. that has experienced or is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19; or  
3. Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.

Participants agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and, notify TAP-LA/Ace Next Gen Executive Board if he/she experiences symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after attending any in-person activity during ACTIVITIES.
COVID Safeguards For All Participants:
1. Monitor your health. If you are not feeling well please opt out of participating at the event.
2. Wear a facemask (if not vaccinated or not comfortable without mask) and social distance at least 6 feet away from others
3. Sanitize or wash hands often
4. Keep your areas clean in public or private spaces
5. Refrain from sharing things
6. Follow covid guidelines set by private and public spaces
