Dear Colleague,

Thank you for your attention during our recent presentation on Combating Disinformation. This is critical work for leaders in local government, and we appreciate your efforts to strengthen your communities and help heal the divisions opened through the spread of disinformation and misinformation.

We have created a set of interactive scenarios that will allow you to test your use of some parts of the "combat checklist" we shared during the presentation. You can complete these on your own, but we encourage you to use them for team development and discussion with your colleagues in your city or county, or in partnership with your "rapid response" allies.

These are free for you to use, and we are not collecting your information here. If you do use them, we would like to know. Email us using the information below. If you do, you will receive updates as we add new scenarios on topics such as homelessness, emergency response, and other "ripped from the headline" cases that will catch all of us by surprise. We will also update you with our assessment of how your colleagues in local government are responding to these situations, without naming names or identifying specific locations.

We also welcome your feedback on the scenarios. For instance, we might be missing an option for action that, if included, will make these more relevant and realistic for you and your colleagues.
