Cochituate Rail Trail on New Year's Eve: Volunteer and Fire Pit Loan Signup
The Friends of Natick Trails and the Town of Natick are planning the second CRT on NYE event on Saturday, December 31st from 4-8pm. Your group or organization is welcome to participate, and we need volunteers and a few donated fire pits, such as Solo stoves.

This family-friendly stroll on the Cochituate Rail Trail is an opportunity to meet and greet neighbors, and enjoy this wonderful community asset. We invite you to sign up using this form to volunteer to help make the second CRT on NYE a success.

If you just want to attend and enjoy the event, you don't need to use this form.

Please note that this is a drug- and alcohol-free event. Safety is the top priority.

If you'd like to help support this event with a donation, please visit friendsofnaticktrails.org/donate.

About Hosts
Community or neighborhood groups or organizations will set up at specific, marked locations along the CRT and provide food, drink, or entertainment, and to be responsible for the fire pit at their station during the event. We encourage participating groups to bring a suitable fire pit, if possible (we can provide if needed). Firewood and a couple of gallons of water will be provided, as well as a guide to successful hosting.

If approved, hosts will be assigned a specific location and clear information. Hosts will be required to agree to conditions defined by the Town of Natick to ensure a safe event. Event organizers will work directly with hosts to answer questions and provide guidance, and will provide a guide to help make this a successful event.

CRT on NYE is intended to be a fun community event, so we encourage hosts to focus on celebration, not controversy.
About Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to help manage CRT on NYE, including set up, cleanup, decorations, working with community groups, event management, and other tasks. Event organizers will follow up soon!
