CAC Concerts Submissions

The mission of the Cultural Affairs Commission (CAC) is to put on quality programming with cultural, political, or social relevance that are accessible to all students. The commission is focused on “edutainment” (education + entertainment), arts activism, and student-run programs that ignite dialogue regarding current events, facilitate an exhibition of creativity, and promote cultural opportunities on the UCLA campus.

The Concert Series strives to amplify underrepresented voices, particularly those who identify as artists of color in order to gain full inclusion in the arts scene. In addition, our series hopes to generate conversations regarding the diversity composition of creative spaces in LA and the UCLA campus. We hope that our performers incorporate our mission into their set. Below, we have provided intentional questions. These are intended not to outline or force a particular structure of your set but to spark thought and inspire ways for you to incorporate our mission into your set whether subtle or direct. We really appreciate and emphasize storytelling as a way of connecting to each other. Please feel free to get creative!
