University of Michigan OLLI Study Group Leader Robert Lamphear guides the examination of the supernatural in Shakespeare’s work. Based on his Spring 2022 offering, he explores Shakespeare’s use of magic in his plays by focusing on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth and The Tempest. With these plays as a framework, attendees will review Shakespeare’s occult investigations through all his plays and their appeal to his audiences, then and now.
