Trans-Affirming Pedagogy for Graduate Students

Facilitator: Nat Rivkin, CETLI Graduate Fellow for Inclusive and Equitable Teaching

This workshop will offer applicable strategies for graduate instructors across disciplines to make their classrooms more inclusive of gender expansive students. Drawing on Hil Malatino’s Trans Care (2020), we will discuss practical methods to refine and reorient our approaches to trans-affirming pedagogy. Participants are encouraged to bring and share trans-inclusive teaching strategies and course materials that have worked well for them in previous classroom settings.

Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
