We are looking to start a database of information of the people in our community who are willing to share their expertise and information on their career. Please consider all the opportunities below and use the comment section to let us know if there is any other way that you could serve or anything that we are missing.
One of our biggest needs is for our annual Career Month. We invite speakers to come in (or join us on zoom) for a conversation about their career, education and daily job tasks. We typically have 2-3 speakers a day for students to choose from, so we need a lot of options. We have speakers present individually or on panels (nursing panel, trades panel etc)
A secondary need is for assistance as we build our internship program. Would you be able to host an intern for a semester? They serve for approximately 2 hours per day, except on days where we do not hold school.
We also have adults come in to help our communications class with mock interviews and resume workshops. We love to pair students with someone who is actually in their field of interest.
