April Topic: Care Coordination and Transforming Homeless Services
What is the centralized, federally-mandated Coordinated Entry homeless service system? What's working? What's broken in the national and state system? What is Community Action working to change? What more can we as a community do? At this month's Brunch & Learn, you'll find out about:
- How 16 homeless service providers are working together to make access to services easier for people without homes.
- External challenges, and local collaborative solutions.
- How Community Action is bringing new funding and resources to Skagit County to launch Care Coordination, a model that's been successful in other Washington counties to improve homeless services.
- What you and your organization can do to help!

Join us from 9-10 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month for "Virtual Brunch & Learn with Community Action!" Back in "The Beforetimes", Community Action hosted monthly Lunch & Learn sessions for our partners, volunteers, staff, donors and anyone else interested to: 1) Learn about a community need, 2) what the community is doing to solve it together, and 3) Community Action's role. In 2023 we'll look at hunger and food security, housing and homelessness, services for seniors and kids, and much more!
