The Burchfield PTO welcomes you to the 2018/2019 school year and invites you all to become members of our organization.  If you’re looking for the quickest and easiest way to get information, become involved in activities, and support the many wonderful programs at school, this is how you start!

There is one annual flat fee of $8.00 to join. This fee includes membership for all parents/guardians in the family.

The membership fees and other fundraising efforts support many purchases/activities, such as:

*  Reading is Fundamental Program (2-3 free books a year for each child)
*  Educational and entertaining student assemblies
*  A yearbook for each student
*  A student directory for each family
*  Transportation for class field trips
*  Classroom Parties and Discovery Day
*  The latest technology, such as Promethean SmartBoards, and ActiVotes
*  Grants for school staff for items to be used in the classrooms

As a member of the PTO you also have voting privileges at monthly meetings, and it is the only way you can be a homeroom parent and helper.  As a member, your attendance at the meetings is definitely not mandatory, but we would love to have all parents/guardians present to join in discussions of the events at the school and in the district. Your feedback and input are how we make our programs and events successful.

Please complete the membership form today below and send it in an envelope marked PTO MEMBERSHIP to your child’s homeroom, including the $8.00 membership fee enclosed either in cash or by check made out to Burchfield PTO. Checks are preferred so we can more easily track payments.
