So here I am, looking for RP partners! I have ideas, but I would also welcome yours wholeheartedly!

About me (RP and otherwise):

1) Been RPing since I was around 12--I'm 21 now.
2) I like at least two to three (or more) paragraph posts that advance the story\characters somehow, although if you get writer's block or something that's always understandable.
3) I can do most genres.
4) I like romance, but I'm not good at RPing yaoi\yuri.
5) Not into gory violence or smut.
6) I can play both male and female roles.
7) If I don't post quickly enough for you (say, within a day of the last post), let me know (nicely). I'll do the same for you. XD

Note that we don't HAVE to do a fandom. Both original and fandom RP ideas are always accepted. Just throwing out what I like for extra info. =D

Specifically Group RP:
-Twins (gender to be decided) both fall for someone (gender to be decided). Both twins are determined to win that person's heart. Setting, time period, etc. etc. to be decided.
-Academy\college\etc. for "gifted" young adults
-House\college\hospital\etc. that is secretly haunted\possessed\etc.
-The World Ends with You universe

I never read the manga, but I watched the anime. I'm more an anime person than a manga person. But, I do wanna read the manga... I just never have the time! College is wailing down on me.

I am interested in playing with you, and I think the easiest place for me to start would be with your list of fandoms.

1. I can play OC's in the style of Labyrinth, and would be more than happy to play with canon characters that you would play from the movie. But I don't think I'm up to trying my hand at his Highness himself. I have a couple different characters that 'suit' merging into the idea, so let me know who you play as and I can toss out more specific ideas.

3. I have an anti-MarySue character who is significantly an 'acquired taste'. I'll toss out the idea, but don't be afraid of saying it's just not your style. In the wake of playing so many places and discovering so many magic sparkle princess of Slytherin oMg vOlDem0rTz DAUTER characters, I decided to try my hand at...the same. Only from the standpoint of actually being a decent roleplayer and willing to play a character that has flaws and reacts in a -genuine- manner to things like her history and the state of affairs in the wizarding world.

4. I play Elena of the Turks from FFVII. :heart: I play her as actually a decent member of the team rather than a blithering idiot, and I can launch into my tl;dr explanation of why she's not an idiot if you would like to hear.

8. I think Star Wars has been so overrun with expanded information that it's no longer fun to actually play as the canon characters. Which is a shame. But if you'd like to toss out an OC in the SW-verse, I have two I play as well. One is a Jedi from the Old Republic, one is former Imperial Military from immediately post-ep6.

Ah, sorry, but thank you for letting me sneak in. Yeah, I'm used to people updating the title/first entry, so I didn't see that you'd closed it.

Mm, you're interested in my Harry Potter character? I'm so glad to hear that. She's a load of fun, but she has to be taken with a grain of salt. Time period is moderately flexible, so depending on what you want to do we can go with a couple of different points. But for reference, she's two and a half years older than Harry Potter--so she's seventeen during the TriWizard Tournament.

She attends Beauxbatons rather than Hogwarts. So the easiest point to bring her over is of course during the events of book four when the Beauxbatons girls are present anyway. She returns to England after she has graduated, though, so she would be back for the summer inbetween books five and six.

What sort of character were you looking to play? Canon or original? Toss some ideas at me and I can come up with something tailored to you. :heart:

Well, Erin's character highly depends on Voldemort, so it does need to have quite a lot to do with the books. But from enough of a different perspective, stories that happen side by side can have very little to do with each other. It depends entirely on what you want to do. Tell me more about this character idea you have, and we can run with it. It can be during the books, during the points that got ignored during the books (ie happening mostly in summer), or even after the books, depending entirely on what sort of game you're thinking of doing.

I have read all of the books, but I think books six and seven were actually submissions for ff.net that got published by mistake. >_> They read like bad fanfiction, and I'm thoroughly unimpressed with them. That said, if we pick up from book four with the TriWizard Tournament, we can write our own (better) ending to the HP saga if you don't mind doubling as the canon characters as well.

Well, actually the only idea I have for my character is her\his Hogwarts acceptance letter actually getting lost, and him\her not getting into Hogwarts proper until someone from the school comes to see him\her. So until then their family either thinks they're a Squib, or they're really confused about the lack of letter (depending on if they've shown signs of doing magic before).

I think I'd like to get an idea of where\when we're actually going to be basing the plot until I work on fleshing out my character for good.

Hmm. That could be awkward to get the two of them interacting with each other from the very beginning. But if you take that as backstory and go with them coming to school for their first year that year even though they're older than the first years, that could work nicely.

Well, as far as hijacking the main plot, I was thinking that once it gets established just who Erin is, that'll start already cacking up JKR's plot. So your character and mine can start interacting with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, and have an inadvertent hand in the main plot that way. From there, I think it'd be pretty open how and where we took it?

Erin isn't a 'dark' character, and she doesn't agree with her father's ideas and ideals. So our two characters could wind up as more of Harry's friends. And sometimes the best stories that can be told are the stories told from the point of view of the hero's `sidekicks` and other `minor characters`.

Or at least that's my idea. First drafts aren't usually good, but if we keep kicking it around we can come up with something good I think. :)

Maybe my character could be from a Muggle family? And thus have absolutely NO idea who Harry is at first. And she's not Hermione, having read all about everything wizarding and stuff; a lot of things are new to her?
