Russia’s horrifying and illegal invasion of Ukraine has exposed the fractures in our immigration system. People fleeing dire and dangerous situations face huge barriers simply to be given a chance at safety.

But if our government simplified the immigration process, people fleeing war could seek safety in Canada — regardless of the colour of their passport or their skin.

No matter who we are, or where we come from, everyone deserves a safe place to call home. If you agree, add your name to tell the federal government to remove bureaucratic barriers and simplify the immigration process for people fleeing war and persecution.

To Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Minister of Immigration and Refugees, Sean Fraser:

Simplify the process, waive visa requirements for everyone fleeing war regardless of the colour of their passport or their skin.
