PENDLETON — A total of five Pendleton High School seniors recently received $2,000 scholarships from the Rotary Club of Pendleton.
Don Fossatti Scholarships were awarded to Melanie Castaneda, Clayson Cooley, Jonathan Ferman-Ramirez and Stella Rabb. And the Joe DeMarsh Memorial Scholarship was given to Alivia Fine.
The recipients were selected based on academic qualifications and demonstrated ability to achieve success in their chosen field of study, financial need, and a reflection of the Rotary motto of service before self in the students' lives.
The Rotary Club of Pendleton celebrated its centennial in 2020. In addition to spearheading local projects and supporting nonprofit organizations, it helps with initiatives across the globe. For more information about the scholarship program, email Jennifer Currin, committee chair, at currin@corey-byler.com.
