The Ministry of Defense (MoD) plans to implement a short-wave radio communication broadcasting system for 19.4 million euros.

The MoD has prepared a draft government decision for approval, which envisages allowing the ministry to start the implementation of the short-wave radio communication broadcasting system (BRASS/BLOS), using the NATO Communications and Information Agency as the project’s procurement and implementation agent.

The government will have to decide on giving permission to the MoD to assume additional long-term commitments of the state budget for the years 2022-2032 for the implementation of the project co-financed by the NATO Security Investment Program (NSIP) in the amount of no more than 19,400,000 euros. From the mentioned NSIP co-financing would be 8,100,000 euros and state co-financing would be 11,300,000 euros.

It is planned that the Ministry of Finance, after receiving information about the costs of the shortwave radio communication broadcasting system, will prepare and submit to the Ministry of Finance a proposal for the redistribution of additional funding in accordance with the concluded contracts.
