In October, AbeBooks, the largest online venue for selling books notified booksellers in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Russia, and South Korea that they would no longer be allowed to offer books on the site.

In solidarity with our colleagues in the affected countries, booksellers from around the world honored Banned Booksellers Week by taking our books off of the AbeBooks platform for one week, beginning Monday, November 5.

On Wednesday, 7 November 2018, Abebooks' CEO met with the president of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB), who wrote: "It is with great pleasure I report to you that the booksellers in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia and South Korea will be able to continue to trade on ABE Books into the future if they wish to. They will not be cut off this month nor in the future."
