Welcome to Penrose Prestige, where rich boys play and scholarship girls dare to dream.
Lily
I’m Lily Steward, and Penrose is my shot to gain a degree in media studies. My focus is firmly on my textbooks until Ethan Russell—the guy who likes to push my buttons—dares me to join the college’s Devil’s Night. The annual event offers a huge cash prize and maybe it’ll be worth spending time with Ethan.
If I join in, I may lose more than my pride, but can I afford to pass up big bucks?
Ethan
I’m Ethan Russell, and Penrose Prestige is my playground. Balancing my social life and college work is all part of the fun. Devil’s Night is the one night of the school year when everyone gets a little crazy, and I just can’t resist tempting Lily Steward—the girl who is too uptight to let loose—to join in the fun.
If she joins in, maybe I can challenge some of her assumptions about me.

I read Danielle Jacks story I dare you. A short college romance between Ethen and Lily. From opposite ends of the money scale but should money define who we fall in love with? A great easy read xxx

Reckless Legend by Zoey Drake 5⭐️
Well dang, this was a great start to the beginning of an angsty, steamy and complicated new series!
There were several revelations between Teagan, Legend and Kemper in such a short time that I think it’s safe to assume that the good stuff has only just begun!

This review is for the Collison Theory story by Lynn Stevens. I haven't read the other books in the anthology.

This is a very adorable, sweet story. I absolutely loved Kenzie and Austin together. They were so cute and fun, and just made the perfect couple. I'd love to see more of them in the future, but I was also very happy with their HEA.

This review is for Collision Theory by Lynn Stevens.

I thought this was such a cute romance. It’s a bit of a different story in that Kenzie is more the dominant and confident female lead, and Austin is the quieter, uncertain and nerdy guy. However, their chemistry together is sizzling off the charts,. And they are absolutely so sweet together. I really like that they seem to take each other for what they see and not expect them to change or conform.

I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest review.

My review is for Lynn Stevens' contribution to the Kiss & Tell Anthology, Collision Theory. An entertaining opposites attract romance, Collision Theory is well-written and fun, from Austin and Kenzie's original - but sexy - meet-cute to the last page. Fantastic chemistry, wonderful story, and engaging characters make this a fabulous addition to this anthology.

Review for M. Jameson ‘Hate Games’ hawt hawt hawt novella! I wanted a full length novel so bad of these two characters. Their hate was completely off the charts… as was their steamy sexy times. Two sad souls collide; one angry and the other lonely, it’s insta attraction. The H can’t figure out why he hates her. The h can’t figure out why he hates her. She didn’t do anything other than be the new girl.

I love anthologies because you get to read stories in a short form by some incredible authors, some of whom I’ve read and others who are new to me!

One that stood out was Revved Up by Sienna Grant. This story is not just about racing. It’s about two people from different sides of the track. Dex and Everly are both strong characters. Everyone says they don’t belong together, but as you read, you just know in your heart that they do. So many outside forces come between them. Can they ignore them and continue to try to make it with? Both of them are strong characters and deserve to make it work. But will loving each other be enough?!

Reviews as stated:

Collision Theory by Lynn Stevens
4 stars

Kenzie, the female mechanic/motocross rider lead, is picks up a crashed car and takes Austin, the male college student and its driver, back to the garage with her because he begs. He’s polite and interested and not her normal type but she offers him a chance to get to know her and he jumps at it.

This novella is dual POV, well written, and a true opposites attract story. I greatly enjoyed Kenzie’s character development and the way their relationship evolved, especially given the input from Kenzie’s friend with benefits. This is the first story I’ve read from this author and, if you like college romance, I definitely recommend.

Caught Between the Stacks by Maci Dillon
3 stars

Kennedy and Echo, the lead characters, were friends as children, until he joined her bullies. Then his family moved away. Now they’re both in the same college. Kennedy’s a jock in need of tutoring and Echo has been volunteered as his tutor. They start to become closer but, after an intimate interlude, Kennedy leaves in a hurry, telling her this was a mistake…

This short story is female lead POV, well written, and definitely not the end of a romance! I understand it’s an interlude to go in an anthology but the ending leaves me totally unsatisfied as a romance reader because Echo is hurt by Kennedy’s final actions and words; it’s not a neutral or HFN finish.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Shameless by Jennifer Sucevic:

“One look at her in the locker room and I knew deep in my bones that she would be trouble.”

Shameless was a short and angsty sports romance full of passion and emotion. From the first time Mason and Poppy meet, there is a deep attraction simmering beneath the surface. Mason tries his hardest to resist, but Poppy will do everything she can to make him notice her.

“It’s as if there’s an invisible thread tugging me in his direction. Pulling me closer. Reeling me in.”

Poppy was a firecracker. She was determined to get Mason to notice her and held nothing back regarding her feelings. Mason was more guarded because of his past, but once he let his defenses down, he was so caring and oh, so possessive. Both had to let go of their perceptions of other’s expectations in order to embrace the relationship fully and their journey to this realization was fraught with misunderstandings and pushing one another away.

“Because it feels like forever since anything has felt right in my life, but with you, it does. What we’ve found is special, and I don’t want to let that go. I don’t want to let you go.”

Full of heart, humor, and heat, Shameless will draw you in immediately and keep you engaged until the last page.

The following review relates to Revved Up by Sienna Grant:
This is such a well written and addictive story. The author has created really interesting and believable characters and placed them, on and off campus, in a college setting.

Everly is a diligent student, following her parents’ dream, while Dex is a mechanic and drag racer and the kind of guy destined to derail Everly’s well laid plans if, that is, she allows her heart to rule her head for a change.

I love Dex’s persistence and the push and pull between Everly and him as their relationship develops. I also enjoyed the friendship and light hearted exchanges between Everly and her bff, Clayton.

Of course, the drama is only one confrontational meeting away, and I truly felt the hurt and disappointment Everly and Dex experienced. This was a short story with a big heart.

I do hope I get to spend more time with Everly and Dex in a full length edition and discover what their futures hold, together or apart…I received an advanced copy of this story from the author.
If this is an example of the other stories in the anthology, then i know I’m in for a treat.

I read Maci Dillion's "Caught Between the Stacks".

Echo sanctuary is the library at her school. That is where she goes to relax, read, and do her work. When her best friend drops a bomb on her she is more than shocked. Her friend and roommate Rhiannon is begging her to become a tutor to the one boy that broke her years ago. When she ends up not having a choice because he's a football player and if he doesn't pass classes he will get kicked off the team. Kennedy knows that Echo is pissed at him. He doesn't know why but he is about to find out. He has always wanted her and now he has a chance to show her, that he is different. Not to mention the truth about the past is about to be revealed. These two are adorable together while trying to find themself.

I read Imperfect Chemistry by Lynn Stevens

This book was cute and I really loved Austin. I was not as big of a fan of Kenzie but that is okay. Austin was super sweet to Kenzie at every turn and she was so combative with him. I get that she has had to deal with prejudice from men because her life in a male dominated area, but still she should have been able to see that Austin was not the same as Bash. Bash was a super jerk. I am glad she finally found the want to leave his games.

I liked the idea that Kenzie is written as a strong and independent person. I also just enjoyed Austin’s emotional maturity when it came to handling Kenzie. He allowed her to be herself. I didn’t like that she was super emotional. For an independent bada** she wasn’t too with in emotionally. I felt like Austin maybe had himself “together” more, if that makes sense. Anyway, the story was a good one and the characters were interesting.

I recommend this one. It’s a shorter story but still longer than most shirt stories. It’s hard to describe. It’s a nice and comfortable length.

Reviewing Shameless by Jennifer Sucevic

When something is off limits, it’s usually an incentive to want things even more.
Masons case is no different. He’s never been the settle down kind of guy, but that all changes when he meets the new boss’ daughter.

Feeling a mutual, unknown attraction for each other, both try to fight it.
One because of the age gap. The other because they’re convinced they’re being detested.

This is such a sweet, short story. A story about people who aren’t supposed to fall in love, but do anyway. You can’t control matters of the heart and this story is proof.
Would I have liked for their story to be longer? Sure. But at the same time it was the perfect length. Maybe some day we’ll get an extended version 🙃

I sadly havent read all of the books in this collection yet but i have brought it so that will change soon.

This is my review for
Hate Games by M. Jameson
There was no love lost between Ash and Ryder when they first met. That fierce dislike for each other was carried on for the majority of this book with plenty of cutting banter which i really liked. There was also an understanding between both of them with their backgrounds. This was a great start and im looking forward to getting my hands on the rest of the book now

Five angsty love-hate stars for M Jameson’s Hate Games novella. This is undoubtedly my favorite by Jameson thus far and I am jonesing like mad for more Ryder and Ash.

A Novella of these characters, their stories, their love story and this world just isn’t enough. So thankful there’s a full novel coming so I can get myself more of them!

My review is for Caught Between The Stacks by Maci Dillon.

Once childhood friends and neighbours Echo Symonds and Kennedy Blake.

Echo is the academic nerd who is totally focussed and committed to achieving excellence in her college education.

Kennedy is the jock who is failing both chemistry and english subjects.

Dean Montgomery has strongly suggested to Echo that her tutoring Kennedy is not a request she can refuse.

What happens when Echo has to face the now man who broke her young heart in middle school siding with the school yard bullies.

They have sizzling chemistry together until she hears those heart crushing humiliated words

I'm sorry.

Can't wait to read more.

I absolutely loved the story written by Danielle Jacks.
Her characters Ethan and Lily made me laugh and smile. Cute and innocent college read.
Ethan is a chilled rich boy who falls for the serious scholarship girl Lily. He made her realise there was more then just studying and working hard. And she gave him her heart in return.

Caught between the stacks by Maci Dillon

Second chances, time-apart, cliffhanger…

One hundred miles from home and her first day at Beachmont University, Echo Symonds comes face-to-face with Kennedy Blake, the boy who destroyed and ruined her for all others. Once childhood friends, until he betrayed her, joining the schoolyard bullies in tormenting her.

It was two years before he left, though, after breaking her middle-school heart. The day she stumbled from her father’s Mercedes in her newly fitted braces and Coke-bottle glasses was the day her dreams truly died. Nothing was ever the same again.

He was her best friend. When the school bullies targeted her in primary school, he came to her rescue. Fast-forward to middle school, and he joined forces with the enemy.

Then he left town without a word.
The night before his departure, she sat at the top of the stairs and listened sadly as her parents said their goodbyes to his mum and dad. “It really is a shame Kennedy and Echo grew apart.” Kennedy’s mum wept as she hugged Echo’s mum tightly.
“I really believed they were destined for each other.”
My mother wiped the tears from her eyes. “If that’s true, they will find each other again.”

Kennedy is failing his classes and the Dean makes it impossible for her to refuse tutoring him. Being called out by Dean Montgomery in the middle of the campus square is not the way she wants to start her day.
“Sorry, Echo, but I’m glad I caught you now. It will save me pulling you from class later. I have an assignment for you. It will, of course, come with extra credit and if you’re successful, which I know you will be,” he smiles confidently, “it will also come with a smashing recommendation from me personally.”

“Sir—Dean Montgomery, if this has to do with tutoring Kennedy Blake so he doesn’t get benched from the Buccs, my answer is no.”
“I was afraid you’d say that, Echo. Unfortunately, this is not up for discussion. It’s a request from the board and given your grades and dedication to both your studies and this university, you are the only one fit to carry out this challenge.”
“Did Rhiannon put you up to this?”
“Of course not, this has come from higher up the chain.”
“I see. So what is it you need from me exactly?”
“There’s three games left before playoffs, and we can’t have one of our star players watching from the bench. Your job is to get Kennedy’s Chemistry and English grades back on the map.”
Great. Two of my favorite subjects instantly lose their appeal.”

Rhiannon clutches my arm. “Please, Echo.”
Her pleading eyes meet mine and my heart skips more than it should.
“What makes you think I’d be interested?” I spit out.
“You… He… Shit, just say yes, Echo!”

Caught in a compromising situation, Chad, the rookie on the Beachmont U team, struggling to get dressed, watching through the bookends.
Kennedy steps into view as he fixes the last button on his jeans.
“Dude! The fxxx? You nailed her already? I knew you’d come through.”
Kennedy snaps and rushes him. He grabs Chad by the collar and wrestles him against the wall. Anger radiates from him, and Chad throws his hands up in defeat.
“Man, chill out,” he warns when Kennedy releases him. He straightens up his shirt with a cocky grin on his face.

Confused, I fight back the swell of tears. Stepping from behind the book stack, my painful stare bounces between the two of them. Chad greets me with a shocked expression. “Oh hey, Echo. I could’ve sworn I just saw you leave.”

Kennedy refuses to look my way. His steely gaze is set on his teammate as, clearly uncomfortable, he runs his hands through his hair.
“Kennedy? What does he mean?”
What he says next knocks the wind out of me. All the lust, the chemistry we just experienced… Dread takes its place.
“This was a mistake.”
Four words, five syllables.

There’s an unfamiliar emotion lurking in the depths of his eyes, but all I know for certain is that I’ve been played.
“I’m sorry.” In a hurry to flee, Kennedy grabs his bag and disappears out the door.

He took what he wanted, and left her wide open to the shame and personal humiliation…about to set in. But she’s no longer a naive little girl. And this is no longer an innocent childhood crush.

Kennedy Blake has no idea what she’s capable of, if he ever thinks she’ll allow him to come crawling back, he’ll have a fight on his hands.

More of Kennedy and Echo’s story will be featured in the not yet released title
‘Secrets in the Off Season’.

Shameless Jennifer Sucevic

Ever since their parents died, Mason’s been operating strictly in survival mode, just trying to make it through each day and keep a roof over their heads. Now that Hunter has graduated and is playing professional football, it should feel like a huge weight has been lifted from his shoulders. Strangely enough, it doesn’t. It still feels like he’s on the cusp of drowning.

“By the way, how’s Hunter doing?”
“He’s good.”
“That kid was one of the best players to come through this program.”
Hunter has always been a talented athlete. Even as a kid. Him turning pro was inevitable. And Mason did everything in his power to nurture that talent ensuring nothing derailed that plan.

For the first five years following the death of their parents, it was just Mason and Hunter Price…clinging to one another. They were a unit. A team. Now that his relationship with Hunter is fractured, he’s on his own, a feeling of being adrift, dismissed from Hunter’s life.

“I’ll let him know you said hello.”
Although, he has no idea when that might be. Their relationship is in disrepair and they do not speak very often other than a few exchanged random texts, since he graduated from Claremont.

Mason’s actions resulted in rocking the foundation of their relationship. He did something he shouldn’t have, and when Hunter found out, it shattered their bond. If he could rewind time and make different decisions, he’d do it in a heartbeat.

But that’s not possible. At the time, he’d thought he was doing the right thing.
Turns out that wasn’t the case.
Despite apologising…many times, Hunter hasn’t relented or forgiven him.

Mason is guarded. Meeting his mentor’s tempting twenty-year old daughter, Poppy, derails his plan, convinced that she’s off limits due to their age difference (he’s seven years her senior) and her father’s his boss.
Levi, plays a part in her breaking off her relationship with Mason.

“Well…Mason is seven years older than me. He’s also your assistant coach.”
“Both of those things are certainly true,” Dad says carefully.
“And I didn’t want him to get fired.”
“Fired? Why would anyone fire Mason?”
At a loss for words…
“You have to know I’d never do that, honey. Mason is a great coach, just like I knew he would be. And if I have my way, he’ll take over the Clairemont program at some point in the future.”
“Really? So…you don’t mind if we date?”
“Mason is a good man. You could do a hell of a lot worse than him.”

She allowed Levi to prey on her insecurities and although it’s tempting to share Levi’s involvement to Mason, she keeps it to herself. There’s no point in stirring up hard feelings when it’s his job to work with the the quarterback.

The first book in the duet (Hunter & Skye’s story), is featured in Heartless!

I have read 'I Dare You' by Danielle Jacks, but have yet to read more of the anthology. I will update my review accordingly when I do!

I Dare You
This was a fun college romance which hooked me from the start. The characters were intriguing, and I loved the concept of Devil's Night. It felt fresh and exciting, with a good pace and plot to boot. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend this story to those who like to get lost in a short, as I read it virtually in one sitting—it was very hard to put down!

I Dare You by Danielle Jacks

This is a nice short collage story.
Ethan Russell is a player, well that is untill he meets Lily Stewart where he has met his match.
Lily is a straight shooter, she studies hard and plays less, her and Ethan are complete opposites.
It's a nice read, the characters jell together nicely the story flows great.

Zander by Amanda Shelley
I absolutely loved Ari and Zander! What a page turner! I couldn’t put the story down. Ari broke up with someone who she was with for 4 years. He really was a piece of work. Zander on the other hand, plays basketball and needs a tutor to help him get his grades up and continue to play. That’s where Ari, who is a big help to him, comes in. Their chemistry from the beginning definitely gives off sparks. Than you have Ari’s best friend getting married and her ex is going to be there. Wait to you find out what Zander does to help her out for the wedding. I was definitely rooting for these two the whole time. Their banter and the way they get along so well made a friendship so easy between them. You won’t want to miss how this story ends!

*** Reviewing “COLLISION THEORY” by Lynn Stevens ***

This is a cute romance between two opposites that make a perfect pair. Kenzie is bold and confident. College guy Austin is the quiet and adorably nerdy type. Their acceptance of each other, just the way they are, was a pleasant surprise. They meet when Kenzie, a female mechanic, takes a crashed car and its driver, Austin, back to the garage because he shows interest in her work. She is willing to let him get to know her, and their chemistry kicks in to sweeten the experience as their relationship starts to develop. This was a good story line with likable characters. There must be something to that “opposites attract” idea, because these two look like they will have no problem at all finding their HEA together. Grab your copy and share their journey!

I love anthologies. I get to read a collection of short stories from some authors i’ve read before as well as brand new authors. Prior to reading all of the short stories in this one, I was only familiar with one of the authors, Amanda Shelley. If you love a fake relationship trope, you won’t want to miss, Zander, her contribution to this collection. It’s the prequel to her series “Perfectly Independent.” This anthology has incredible stories and i’m so excited to find more authors to add to my never ending TBR. I have four words for you: One click this limited edition new adult college romances NOW! Not only will you be supporting a group of authors, you will be supporting St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
