Superintendent's Corner

We are actively looking to expand our Board of Directors! Our next Prospective Board Member Tour will be on September 7 at 12:00pm at Crossroads Academy-Central Street.

Crossroads is a tuition free, public charter school located in downtown Kansas City which serves roughly 1,100 students in grades PreK-12th who reside within the boundaries of KC Public School System. Our core values are Real World Learning, Equity, Creative Culture and High Expectations. Now in our 10th year, we’re celebrating our recent DESE designation of being named a high-quality charter school and are proud to say we were granted a 10-year charter renewal

As it relates to board expansion, we’re particularly looking for skills and expertise in the following four areas:

  • Finance

  • Community Partnerships

  • Legal

  • Philanthropy

Currently, we have seven board members who meet once per month at our Crossroads Preparatory Academy location.

If you align with our core values and feel you’re uniquely qualified to fill one or more of these roles as a volunteer board member, we’d like to connect. Please email info@crossroadsschoolskc.org with a brief summary of your qualifications. Please also consider sharing this information with any qualified referrals in your network. Thank you!

You can also drop off uniforms in good condition at the front desk.

If you have questions, concerns, comments, or praise that you would like us to share in these meetings, please email qhpac@crossroadsschoolskc.org. We will share responses monthly.

Case Park, located about 2 blocks from the school, is where our children go to recess everyday.
