WVFLTA Cultural Mini-Grants 2022-2023
West Virginia World Language teachers have the opportunity to obtain Cultural Mini-Grants to increase language and cultural proficiency in their classrooms, schools, and communities. Three grants of up to $200 per school for a total of up to $600 will be awarded by the West Virginia Foreign Language Teachers' Association during the 2022-2023 school year. West Virginia World Language teachers of grades pre-K to adult are invited to apply. Funds will be awarded for cultural projects that lead to greater understanding of the diverse cultures of the world.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year. Complete this form AND Email WVFLTA@gmail.com to let us know you have applied. Applications will be reviewed on the 10th of each month until all funds have been allocated. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis for approved projects until funds have been exhausted.

Recipients will be notified via an email from wvflta@gmail.com. To receive funds in advance, direct bill, or be reimbursed for expenses and receive the grant monies, itemized receipts are required. If funds are need prior to the event, arrangements need to be made with the WVFLTA treasurer.

Previous recipients are invited to apply for grants during this cycle. Projects that have been previously funded may be funded again. Preference may be given to projects and schools that have not received funding.

Projects may be fully or partially funded by a grant with a maximum of $200 awarded per school per year.

Recipients must present a poster session on their project at the subsequent WVFLTA conference.

We thank West Virginia University Department of World Languages for their generous contribution to the Mini-Grant fund.
