VSCA Board of Directors — Call for Nominations
It is a great time to be a school counselor in Virginia. Our recent legislative efforts have increased funding to lower ratios, improved time devoted to direct counseling services, and eradicated the term "guidance counselor" to reflect our current roles and functions as licensed school counselors. Additionally, our state conference continues to grow, we have an exceptional partnership with the Virginia Department of Education, and we believe we serve the best school counselors in the country.

Let's keep this momentum going. We are soliciting nominations for three (3) new school counseling professionals to join our VSCA Board of Directors. The term length for each of these positions is three years, and all terms will begin on July 1st, 2020.

If you are a current VSCA member (or prepared to join), and are interested in running, please nominate yourself today by completing this form. All forms must be submitted by March 20th, 2020.

The strength of any board lies in the diversity of its leadership, and school counselors (and students) need you now more than ever. We encourage school counselors from all regions and levels to consider this wonderful leadership opportunity.

Please note that your name, current school/college/university, biography, and statement of purpose will be published in survey format during the voting process.
