The BUMP Study aims to improve the care provided to pregnant women who have had weight loss or bariatric surgery.
Because weight loss surgery limits food intake, some women have difficulty meeting the increased nutrition needs during pregnancy. This might increase the risk of pregnancy complications.
The BUMP Study investigates how nutrition during pregnancy impacts the wellbeing of Mums and their babies. This information will help improve our understanding of how to reduce the risks of pregnancy after weight loss surgery and keep you and your baby as healthy as possible.
We are also interested in learning your experience of healthcare during pregnancy to help understand what supports Mums want and need after weight loss surgery.
