The Teaching Artists in the Schools Program will reflect BCOE’s commitment to high-quality and excellence in arts education for the students of Butte County. This program facilitates collaborations between teaching artists and classroom teachers. Each collaboration will provide up to ten classroom hours.
Requirements:
1) A bachelor's degree in the arts (or related field) or 5 years of
experience in an arts discipline.
2) Demonstrated professional artistic practice (such as lists of performances, exhibits, website).
3) Experience teaching classes of (10+) students in the public schools, a public art program, or a nonprofit or
for-profit organization.
To be considered for this program, interested teaching artists should submit this application. Once the appliction is approved you will be invited to a training on Social Emotional Learning and Lesson Planning. Next we will check your references and invite you to be added to the Teaching Artist in the Schools Directory and Residency Program.
