Description

The 5th Annual Mark Scheifele Hockey Camp is aimed at helping the next generation of hockey players grow and elevate their game while having a lot of fun! The two-day camp will take place Saturday June 22 & Sunday June 23, 2019 and will be held on two sheets of ice at the Bell MTS Iceplex. Kids will have the opportunity to personally interact with Mark and will receive specialized instruction from Jets Hockey Development.

Each of the two days consists of both on-ice and off-ice training. On-ice training will be coached by the JHD team and assisted by Mark and guest coaches. Goalies will have the opportunity to work 1:1 with coaches on their development in the Ice Lab. Off-ice multi-sport training includes hockey specific agility, flexibility and stick handling training. During an off-ice Q&A session, kids will also have their picture taken with Mark and camp jersey autographed.

A jersey, snack and lunch will be provided for all participants.

2019 Registration Package

Note: Please register your child according to year of birth and position - i.e. a goalie in a goalie session, skater in a skater session.

We look forward to seeing you there!

KidSport’s goal is to ensure that ALL Kids Can Play. We strongly believe all kids should be given the opportunity to play the sport they love and that the benefits of sport are tremendous for both the individual and the community.

Since 2004 KidSport Winnipeg has distributed $1,727,372  to cover registration fees for 7,722 children from families who are unable to afford to put their children in sport.

KidSport funds over 70 different sports in Manitoba. The sports that receive the highest levels of funding are football, hockey & soccer.

The kids we support are from low-income families, single-parent and foster families, the new immigrant & refugee community and other underfunded populations. They are kids from a variety of challenged backgrounds with families who for one reason or another find themselves struggling financially and unable to afford sport or equipment needed for participation.
