ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ  ಭವ್ಯ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ,  ಕನ್ನಡ ಹರಿದಾಸ (ಸಂತ-ಕವಿಗಳು) ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, “ರಂಗ ಒಲಿದ ದಾಸರೆಂದೇ" ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಗನ್ನಾಥ ದಾಸರು ಇವರು ಮಂತ್ರಾಲಯದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರು ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳ ಪರಮ ಭಕ್ತರು.

ಅವರು "ಜಗನ್ನಾಥ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ" ಎಂಬ ಅಂಕಿತದೊಂದಿಗೆ  ಹರಿದಾಸ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಅನರ್ಘ್ಯ ರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು  ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ,  "ಹರಿಕಥಾಮೃತಸಾರ" ವೆಂಬ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಶ್ರೀ ಜಗನ್ನಾಥ ದಾಸರ ಜೀವನವು ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ  ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಹಂಕಾರದಿಂದ , ದರ್ಪ, ಗರ್ವ ದಿಂದ ಇದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ , ಹೇಗೆ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ  , ಶರಣಾಗತಿಯಿಂದ  ಪರಿವರ್ತಿತರಾಗಿ  ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಕೊನೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದರು, ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುವಂಥ  ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಯಾದರು  ಎಂದು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.   ಈ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬಹುದು.

As most of you are already aware, a dedicated team of Shri Jagannatha Dasaru Devotees have made a full-length movie on Shri Jagannatha Daasaru (part 1, which starts with his childhood through his ankita pradAna), which has been released in India on 11th November 2021.

With the support of all local religious and cultural associations , we are planning on a theatrical release on May 15th, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐. We invite everyone to watch the amazing story of Sri Jagannatha Daasaru and experience his magnificent compositions in a professional theatrical setting.

Sri Jagannatha daasaru’s life has shown us how a person can transform his life from ego, pride based one to a life based on devotion and surrender to reach the highest goals in life.  This is a message that all of us can adopt in our lives.

People in San Francisco, New Jersey and in various cities in India say that experiencing the movie in a theater with powerful Dolby sound, huge screen and in the company of similar minded people is a moving impactful experience that is far greater than watching on a home screen.  Many people have been moved to tears by the moving, powerful story of moving from ego to bhakti and surrender and redemption of Sri Jagannatha dasaru.  People have started dancing after the vittalayya song at the end of the movie.  
It is time for DMV to experience the same now.
 
We request DC region Haribhaktas, Kannada Sahitya Premi-s, Sanatana Dharma Premi-s to spread the word among your groups, Kannada groups, Hindu groups [whatsapp, FB, email groups, etc] and make use of this golden opportunity to watch the movie in the theatre. Non Kannadigas can also enjoy the movie which has English sub-titles.

The Movie production team has started working on the second part of this  movie and also movies on other Daasaru-s with the intention of preserving the cultural heritage via feature films and spreading Daasa Saahitya and the life stories of our great Saints to the larger crowd and our future generations . However, upholding these intentions require a good deal of support and generous financial contributions from like minded people everywhere.
