Brighton Campus Student Government Application
The Student Government at the Brighton Campus gives students the opportunity to participate in matters of college policy, planning events on campus and in the community, the ability to participate in valuable volunteer experiences, the opportunities to go on exciting trips and to earn scholarships!

The Student Government Association (SGA) is the student’s voice in matters concerning the Brighton Campus and in conjunction with the Downtown Campus Student Events and Governance Association (SEGA) represents the student body as a whole.  Weekly Senate meeting and various committee meetings hear concerns from students then implement plans to solve these concerns cooperatively with the College’s administration, staff and faculty in an effort to make MCC as student friendly as possible.

Requirements for holding a Student Government Association (SGA) position.
Must attend Senate meetings on Tuesdays from 2PM – 5PM.
Must attend pre-agenda meetings on Fridays from 12:15 PM – 12:50 PM.
     Must take six (6) or more credits, and the majority of all credits, at the Brighton campus and maintain this status
        throughout the entire term of office.                  
Must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher.
Must hold a minimum of three (3) office hour per week.
Must serve on committees to meet the goals of Student Government.
Must serve the full length of their term (from selection to Commencement Day).
