Props:
Props crew is charged with the task of determining necessary props, creating them, and keeping track of them. As a member of the crew you can participate in any or all of these activities. We are looking for hardworking, dedicated students to join. If you have artistic ability (or if you don't), or a tuned set of organizational skills, props is the place for you! Props crew will have various meetings to help create and maintain the props of the show, and will be present the two weeks before the show (week of November 11th & 18th) to assist with the movement and tracking of props from scene to scene during our final rehearsals and performances.

Costumes:
In this crew you will hunt for costumes, care for them, and possibly make some! This will require going out and finding costumes, whether it be with the crew or alone. You do not need to know how to sew, but if you do, that would be great! This crew is very flexible in terms of time commitment, but you will need to be able to make it to most of our meetings and the two weeks before the show (week of November 11th & 18th).

Hair and Makeup:
Hair & make-up crew meetings begin as soon as crews are determined, and the crew will meet times a week until the show. Members MUST be able to attend the majority of these meetings, all of tech week (week of November 18th) and every production, and stay for the duration. They should also be available to arrive early if necessary and attend one meeting the Saturday before tech week. Members of hair & make-up crew will learn stage makeup techniques, help develop designs, and then implement the designs on the cast, plus have a generally lovely time. No experience is necessary, but members should be prepared to touch a lot of faces and put eyeliner on the twitchy.

Tech (Lights/Sound):
WHS Tech Crew is a close-knit group of students who are interested in sound and lighting design. Tech crew works to design and implement the various lighting and sound aspects involved in the production. This involves hanging and focusing lights, programming the lighting and sound consoles, as well as placing mic packs on actors. Members are expected to attend the majority of the light hangs and sound prep meetings, as well as to be present every day the two weeks before the show (week of November 11th & 18th).

Set Design:
In Set Design/Construction, students are given the opportunity to help construct the set for the show. Down to the basics, we will cut wood to build stable structures and we will paint finishing touches to make the set come alive. Set Design usually meets at least twice a week for 2-3 hours after school. Members are able to come to whichever meetings they'd like, but it is encouraged that members come to as many meetings as possible. There is also the opportunity for students to participate in another crew in addition to Set Design.

Run Crew:
Run crew is the wonderful group of people who “shift” things on stage, including (but not limited to) set pieces and props. The time commitment for Run Crew is relatively moderate, but all members must be available for the last two weeks of production (week of November 11th & 18th). Additionally, all Run Crew members MUST be available for all rehearsals beginning with the stumble throughs.

House Manager:
The House Manager is in charge of the front of house each night before the start of the show and during intermission. This individual should be trustworthy and responsible, as they will be on headset and in constant communication with the Stage Manager between the opening of the house and the start of the show. Time commitment is light, but the House Manager MUST be able to attend all performances and stay for the duration. Additionally, the House Manager should plan to attend the final dress rehearsal on November 20th.

Box Office Manager:
The Box Office Manager is in charge of the administration of ticket sales during performances (and some prep work involved with administering ticket sales). This individual will work closely with the volunteer parents who help run the front of house. Time commitment is light, but the Box Office Manager must be available for all performances. Additionally, the Box Office Manager should plan to attend the final dress rehearsal on November 20th.

Ushers:
Ushers are responsible for assisting audience members after the house is open throughout the production. They are also responsible for collecting ticket stubs and helping with various jobs in the lobby.

Graphic Design Assistant:
The graphic designer (this year: Dustin Paden) creates the design for the poster and playbill based on the production concept. An assistant would learn the ropes so they could take over the next school year.

Assistant Stage Manager:
This position is open to any Freshman. The Assistant Stage Manager will work closely with the stage management team (Shannon Helfman, Emily Isaacman, Olivia Alpizar) to make sure that all aspects of the production run smoothly. Additionally, during the performances of the show, the ASM will be co-head of backstage and will oversee a wing. The Assistant Stage Manager should be extremely responsible, trustworthy, and organized as it is a position of leadership and requires a lot of maturity and hard work. The time commitment is very heavy. The ASM should be able to attend 5 rehearsals a week at the start of production (September 23rd). The ASM must be able to attend every rehearsal and performance during the last two weeks of production (week of November 11th & 18th). Additionally, the ASM will be responsible for some paperwork to be completed outside of rehearsal.
