We will remind you about your volunteer position prior to your week but you can also check back using the link above.
9
Popsicle Tuesday:
We suggest approximately 60 popsicles per volunteer. Otter Pops (package of 80) are sold at Wal-Mart for about $4.00. Jolly Rancher brand is also popular. Coach releases the kids around 6:30 from the field. Set up in front of the locker room to catch the players.
10
Field Painting Wednesday:
No experience necessary. Your contact will be Field Operations Coordinator Jim Whitley (wjimwhitley@aol.com). Please be out at the field by 3:30 and Jim will give you insructions.
11
Pre-Game Meal:
You do not need to bring anything with you. Your contact person is Becky Romero. Please plan to meet at the school cafeteria at 3:15. Due to recent changes with school security, you will need to check in at the front desk of the school before proceeding back to the cafeteria.
12
Pre-game Fruit:
Thank you for volunteering for helping with the pre-game fruit. We need a total of 3 bags of washed grapes and 12 bananas. You may want to coordinate with each other to divide the purchase between the two of you (someone gets grapes and the other gets the bananas). Your contact person is Becky Romero (904) 315-9101 who I have copied on this email. Please plan to drop the fruit off at the school cafeteria at 3:15. Due to recent changes with school security, you will need to check in at the front desk of the school before proceeding back to the cafeteria.
13
Booster Gate: Varsity home games only. JV family volunteers, we need your assistance with this position, please. Man the gate for the first half to the first quarter. The following people are allowed in through this gate without a ticket: Anyone on a list provided to you by the opposing team's coaching staff, the opposing team's bus driver(s), team doctors or trainers, Boy Scouts and their families presenting during the opening ceremony, National Anthem singers, Refs, Police, Facebook Live announcer(s) (Jim Moise), Facebook Live camera operator (Hunter Crain). Bottom line, use your discretion and if in doubt, let the person through.
14
Apparel Volunteers: Apparel will be sold during Varsity games. As a result, we need JV family volunteers to cover this volunteer position. Please arrive at the field by 6:30. Kelly Carnicelli is your contact (kcarnicelli@bellsouth.net). She will have everything you need and she will provide instructions on what to do. We close down apparel right after the end of half.
15
Half-Time Oranges: We need a total of 15 oranges cut in slices with ½ an orange placed in a baggie for a total of 30 baggies. You can drop these off at the school cafeteria before the pre-game meal at 3:15 or you can bring them in a cooler to the game and hand the cooler to one of the trainers any time before half-time. If you choose to drop them off at the pre-game meal, your contact person is Becky Romero. To get to the cafeteria, drive past the bus loop/auditorium and park back by the basketball courts. You will see the kitchen door propped open.
16
Concessions: Except for the first game (8/17), we will only need concession volunteers for Junior Varsity Home games. We ask our Varsity families to help with these games to allow JV families to watch their players. Please show up no later 30 minutes before game time. Your contact person is Doug Soncrant.
17
Chain Gang: The ball position, down and distance markers are located in the garage/breezeway area behind the concession stand. The first one out, please grab them and take them over to the visitor side. Please plan on being over on the visitor side at least 15 minutes before game time. Some refs are particular about how they want the chains run and they like to go over their preferences in advance.
