The Parent/Family Advisory Council advises ESBOCES Leadership Teams in advocating for our students and families, and provides all members of the ESBOCES community with support, guidance, and information to promote equitable practices through a family lens.
Focus areas:
- Aligning Council activities with the ESBOCES Strategic Plan
- Reviewing and analyzing code of conduct policies and student handbooks to address any inequities
- Identifying, reviewing, and implementing initiatives that best support students and families
- Providing workshops to connect families and students from various communities
- Promoting inclusion and equity for all members of the ESBOCES community
We ask that members:
- Serve on at least one committee (committees will be established by the Council)
- Need to be a current or former family member of an ESBOCES or Academy student
