Season of Lent at OMC School

OPERATION RICE BOWL
INDIA ZAMBIA EL SALVADOR MEXICO ETHIOPIA
Each week in Lent, Catholic Relief Service's Rice Bowl program invites us to pray, fast, and give to aid millions living in conditions of poverty. The hungry are fed; the thirsty are given drink; the homeless find shelter.
The main idea is to raise money for those living in poverty and to help our children understand that Lent is a time of fasting, praying, and giving alms. We hope Operation Rice Bowl helps your family do these things just a little, in a way appropriate for all ages. Look for the Rice Bowl to come home as Lent begins. Fill it up with money you save from eating meatless meals. Send it back to school the week before Easter!
