Assets - beneficiaries
Clients must meet a cash asset test before they can receive an Accommodation Supplement. To perform this test we need to know the cash value of their assets.
A client may be able to receive Accommodation Supplement if they (and any partner) have cash assets that don't exceed:
- $8,100 for a single person
- $16,200 for a sole parent, or a married, civil union or de facto couple
If cash assets are greater than the above amounts, the client cannot get Accommodation Supplement. There are two exceptions. For more information see:
