Founded in 2015, NE GLEON is a collaborative organization which aims to increase interactions between scientists studying lakes in the North Eastern region of North America and conduct innovative cross-site research. NE GLEON is affiliated with the Global Lakes Ecological Observation Network (GLEON).
NE GLEON Annual Conference
At the annual NE GLEON Conference, researchers from labs around the region gather at the Cary Institute to relay the year's progress, share ideas, and develop new projects.
Lightning talks allow members from each participating group to share what they've done over the last year and develop their confidence presenting scientific research.
Small working groups develop plans for cross-site experiments, public engagement plans, and other topics of interest as determined by each group.
NE GLEON'S Cross-Site Projects
NE GLEON's collaborative model allows labs from across the region to come together and develop experiments which examine conditions in multiple lakes.
