UPE Family Update
November 2021
Dear UPE Families,
Students can work on Symphony, Reading Plus, iReady, and reading at home- these practices are key. In lower grades (K-1) high frequency and sight words are a huge practice, and in grades 3-5 practicing division and multiplication facts is pivotal for success.
We want to take this time to remind you that with the new mandate, masks are required unless a parent note is provided. If you turned one in at the beginning of the year, we will continue to honor it.

Dismissal Update:
Please ensure that if your students are car riders, you are using the carline. For the safety of all our walker students, families should not park at family dollar to pick up their students.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please see below for our delayed dismissal procedures:
Families, we are anticipating some severe weather right around dismissal today. Please send your child with a raincoat, or umbrella, especially if they are a walker. We will communicate delayed dismissal if we move into a delay dismissal which is very probable with the weather that is moving our direction for this afternoon. For delayed dismissal - if families want to pick up their child when we are in a lightning delay- you must now park and come to the front office with either car tag or Identification to sign them out. We encourage you to park and wait - however if you cannot - according to new policy, you must exit your vehicle and sign your child out from the front office. We realize this may take longer- but safety is priority.
(The only students dismissing from the bus loop are pre- k and families of walkers- who will need identification or walker tags to sign out.)
Everyone else must come and sign out from front office.
