Le Mifa dévoile son programme ! |
| Le Marché international du film d'animation poursuit son expansion en 2024 en ouvrant ses portes au jeu vidéo et en renforçant la mise en avant de contenus immersifs dans un nouveau lieu dédié. Le programme du Campus Mifa s’enrichit grâce à la masterclass de Regina Pessoa, sa nouvelle marraine, tandis que le prix Mifa Animation Industry Award sera remis à la société Ankama. |

| Véronique Encrenaz, responsable du Mifa, a évoqué la semaine dernière les moments forts de la prochaine édition du Mifa qui se déroulera du 11 au 14 juin 2024, sur une superficie de plus de 11 000 m². Avec 160 événements proposés, plus de 190 stands dans le chapiteau des exposants et une nouveauté : la création de l'Espace XR&Games. Ce nouvel espace facilitera les synergies entre animation, créations immersives et jeu vidéo pour ouvrir de nouveaux horizons narratifs, artistiques et technologiques et favoriser la transversalité des projets et des publics ! | Par ailleurs, les WIP XR, qui se déroulaient auparavant à la Salle Pierre Lamy, intègrent ce nouveau lieu dédié (détail ci-après). |

| Contenus Industrie | Situés au Centre des Congrès de l'Impérial Palace, les Contenus Industrie proposeront différents formats d'événements qui accompagneront l'ensemble des professionnels : | | | - 6 sessions de Pitchs Mifa
Le nombre de soumissions de projets pour les Pitchs Mifa, temps fort du Marché, ne cesse d'augmenter, avec un nouveau record de 760 projets reçus en provenance de 82 pays. 41 projets ont été sélectionnés dans les catégories Courts métrages (1 session – 11 projets), Longs métrages (2 sessions – 12 projets), Séries & spéciaux TV (2 sessions – 12 projets), Expériences numériques (1 session – 6 projets), dont 21 sont réalisés par des femmes, et 16 productions françaises ou en coproduction avec la France.
| - 16 sessions de Pitchs Partenaires
Dans le cadre des 16 sessions de Pitchs Partenaires, 80 projets venant de tous les continents (6 d'Asie, 4 d'Europe, 3 d'Amérique et 3 d'Afrique) seront présentés avec de plus en plus de pays désireux de participer. À noter que les Pitchs Partenaires de l'Inde et de Taïwan sont le résultat des ateliers Mifa Campus International menés récemment sur ces territoires avec le soutien de Netflix.

The Mifa Unveils Its Programme! |
| The International Animation Film Market is booming in 2024, opening its doors to video gaming and giving an additional boost to immersive content, with a new and dedicated space. Le Campus Mifa programme will also be beefed up thanks to Regina Pessoa, its new patron, while the Ankama company will be celebrated with the Mifa Animation Industry Award. |

| Last week Véronique Encrenaz, the head of Mifa, focused on the highlights of the upcoming Mifa, to be held 11th to 14th June 2024 on an area of over 11,000 m². More than 160 events are in the offing, plus 190 stands in the Exhibition Area and something brand new: creation of the XR&Games Area. This new space will foster synergies between animation, immersive content and video gaming, opening up to new technological, artistic and narrative horizons and maximizing crossovers between projects and audiences! | In addition, the WIP XR, previously held in the Salle Pierre Lamy, will move to this special new space (details below). |

| Industry Content | Located in the Imperial Palace’s Convention Centre, Industry Content will host different event formats to cater to all industry professionals: | | | - 6 Mifa Pitch sessions
The number of projects sent in for the Mifa Pitches, a high point of the market, continues to grow, with a record 760 projects received from 82 different countries. 41 projects were selected for the different categories: Short Films (1 session – 11 projects), Feature Films (2 sessions – 12 projects), TV Series & Specials (2 sessions – 12 projects), Digital Experiences (1 session – 6 projects). Of these, 21 were directed by women, and these include 16 stand-alone French productions or co-productions with France.
| - 16 Partners Pitch sessions
As part of the 16 Partners Pitch sessions, 80 projects from every continent (6 from Asia, 4 from Europe, 3 from the Americas and 3 from Africa) will be presented, with more and more countries vying to participate. Of special note: the Indian and Taiwanese Partners Pitches are the fruit of the International Mifa Campus workshops recently held in those countries with support from Netflix.
