Mercy Health Partnership

The Fairfield City School District is proud to partner with Mercy Health!

We thank them for their generosity and commitment to the well-being of Fairfield. Through monetary donations, support for the athletic department and trainers, providing mental health experts for community sessions, and much more, Mercy Health has shown a tremendous amount of support for Fairfield City Schools.
The care and service that our student-athletes receive from the trainers and doctors that Mercy provides is second to none, and we are grateful for their support. To have our neighborhood hospital be so totally invested in the well-being of our student-athletes on and off the playing fields is very special to our athletic department and school district. We are proud to be partners with Mercy Health and their incredible support staff.

Since posture involves your joints, ligaments, muscles, spine, and tendons, practicing good posture provides a number of health benefits. These include:
  • Better balance
  • Easier breathing
  • Greater flexibility
  • Improved digestion
  • Less neck, back, and shoulder pain

Back to school means it is time for fall sports like football, cheerleading, and soccer. Cross country and golf are also fall sports. Sports are big in high school, offering the opportunity for exercise as well as being part of a team. However, a risk of participating in a fall sport is injury. While the risk of injury should not be a reason to not participate, it’s still important to learn what can cause fall sports injuries so your child can best avoid them.
