PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

February was busy! We had Wheelchair Basketball, Wacky Hair Day, Valentine’s Candygrams, Guelph Nighthawks Surprise Appearance, and Pink Shirt Day. March looks like it will also be a busy month with our annual PJ Day on March 13, and a number of presentations (Dairy Farmers for k-3, UofGuelph Brain Waves for 4-6, Guelph Police, Soccer Day, Scientists in Schools, and more!).

IMPORTANT DATES

March 6 - Live Free Day (see below)

March 6 - Soccer Day - Guelph Soccer Coming to Brant

March 13 - PJ Day! - Wear your PJs to school

March 16 - 20 March Break - NO SCHOOL

March 24 - Pizza and Milk Orders Due for Term 3

STUDENT LATES AND EARLY PICKUP
School starts at 8:55am and ends at 3:15pm. We are finding many students are arriving late and/or being picked-up early. Unless there is a special event (appointment, etc.), students should be at school on time and stay until the end of the day. Thank you for your support.

MOVING?

Planning for the 2020-21 school year is already underway.  If you will be moving this summer, or know of someone moving into the school area, please notify the office as soon as possible.  This will help with the organization of teachers and classrooms at Brant Avenue.

LIVE FREE DAY - IN SUPPORT OF OUR SCHOOL SNACK PROGRAM

Brant Ave will be taking part in the “Live Free Challenge”.  Students and staff will be challenged to “Live Free” of something they take for granted every day.  The challenge will take place this Friday March 6th and students will be asked to give up something they like or enjoy for the whole day as a part of the “Live Free Challenge”.

LET’S TALK (NOT TEXT) ABOUT SCREEN TIME

Parents and students are invited to learn more about the many impacts of screens on our lives and how we might foster a healthier relationship with them.  Come and join us Thursday, April 23 from 6-9pm at the John F. Ross CVI - E.L. Fox Auditorium, 21 Meyer Drive, Guelph. Admission is free, but tickets do need to be secured in advance by visiting https://screenagersbyugdsb.eventcombo.com
